Information Sessions for Film & TV Extras
OnCue Talent Information Sessions are held regularly in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
These sessions are designed for everyday people who are curious about how real film, TV and commercial casting works — and how normal people with no experience get selected for on-screen roles.
You don’t need experience. You don’t need to be an actor.
Productions are constantly looking for everyday people — different ages, backgrounds and looks — to fill real on-screen roles in TV commercials, TV series and films.

Why People Come to Our Information Sessions
People come for many different reasons — but almost all of them start with curiosity.

At the Information Session You’ll Learn
• How people with no experience get cast in real film, TV and commercial productions
• How casting works and how people are submitted for roles
• The different types of work available (film, TV, commercials, streaming)
• What it’s really like to be on set
• What productions look for when selecting people
• How bookings and payment work
• How people start getting selected and earning
The session runs for approximately one hour and is designed to be clear, friendly and easy to understand — even if you’ve never been involved in the industry before.
You’ll gain real insight into how productions operate behind the scenes, meet others who are just starting out, and understand how extras are chosen and paid.
Many people use extra and featured extra work as a fun, practical way to get their first on-set experience.
