A. Simply email talent@oncuetalent.com.au and asked to cancel your representation with OnCue.

Q. What is an Availability Check?

A. Availability Checks are an important part of the casting process. If you have received an availability check, Congratulations, this is great news! There are a number of reasons of why you have received this.

The first reason is because either the Casting Director or the Head Talent Agent has already narrowed you down, from your professional casting profile from a specialist brief, and they would like to know if you are available for a particular date

Or there may be more information that they need from you, such as, do you have a full drivers license for a role, or can you eat dairy for an ice cream scene.

Now the first thing you must do BEFORE accepting this availability check, is to look at the brief inside the email and ensure that you meet the criteria.

The second thing is to ensure you are 100% available for the entire day and evening of that date.

Please note: Call Sheets are not sent out till the night before between 4pm to 9pm from the productions. Please do not email or phone to ask Oncue for this earlier, as we simply do not know and won’t know till the Call Sheet is sent out

Q. Why am I not notified if I am unsuccessful for the Availability Check

A. Casting Directors only notified if you are successful. Oncue are not notified if you are not successful.

Q. How do I know if I have been booked

A. When you are booked you will receive an email saying CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE BEEN BOOKED. Plus generally an sms to to say the same thing instructing you to check your email and respond immediately. It is important that you reply back to the email to confirm your role on the same day before 4pm as we have to confirm your role to production, otherwise they can book someone else

Q. Why can’t I know the time and location prior to my booking.

A. Generally this is because it depends if all the filming that has been scheduled for the day before has been completed. If it hasn’t they simply re-schedule this to finish filming first thing in the morning so they don’t have to pull down a complete set then create it again. If this is the case, this means that your scene will be pushed back further in the day after they complete the first scenes.

Q. When do we get our start time and details of where we need to be ? Call sheet

A. All this information, including what to wear and bring with you is included on a CALL SHEET. This is sent out to you the night before between 4pm to 9pm. Always ensure you go to the UNIT BASE to sign in first if there is more than one location on the call sheet.

Q. How do I do a Self Take Audition

A. Simply click on the link below on a guide to do a Self Take Audition from home

https://us11.campaign-archive.com/?u=c356a375185cc212d6289acc5&id=7f09d1a7ca

Q. What is a Go-See

A. A go-see is where you literally go and see /meet with the Casting Director. These are usually held prior to a large production starting. Generally you usually apply, then the Casting Director makes their selection on who they would like to meet in person. When you arrive you will complete a talent form and usually there is someone there from wardrobe that will take your measurements on the day as well. Ensure to have fitted clothing like singlet / t-shirt and fitted jeans or leggings. Long hair must be cleanly washed and out and ladies must have light natural makeup on.

Q. What is a HOLD booking ?

A. This means that you have been approved by the Casting Director, however they are either waiting on the final approval from the Director or client. You must keep this date on HOLD and not book anything else on this date until you are either released or moved to a BOOKED status.

Q. What is a RECALL booking?

A. This means that you have already been on set and you have been RECALLED back to set to either re-shoot some of the scenes or it is a continuity on from the previous scene. It is extremely important that you always make a huge effort to ensure you are available for this RECALL date.

Q. How do I get paid

A. Always remember to take your tax and super details with you to complete your form on arrival to set and they will ask you to complete a form there. Always put ONCUE TALENT as your agency on your form and do not put your Bank details.

Once your tax and super is paid, then your paid slip and the net amount is sent to Oncue where the agency commission is taken out and then paid to you.

If you are under 18 years of age and do not have a tax file number, always complete the form in the child’s name, then tick the box that you are under 18 years of age. In the box where you normally put your tax file number, simply put the number 3 in all the boxes.

If you do not have a super fund, simply complete the form and tick the box that you would the employer to set up a default account.

If you can’t remember your super details, you can do the same thing then once you receive your details you can rollover your super into the one account.

Your bank details should be entered in the bank section on your portfoliopad profile. If you are not sure where to put this, then simply go back to the instructions on how to complete your profiles.

Q. How long does it take to get paid ?

A. Please note that it is the production company that is the employer and who pay you NOT Oncue. So if there is any delays, this is generally coming from the production company, unless you have not provided your bank details to Oncue.

TV Series and Feature Films are generally 2 – 6 weeks.

TV Commercials are generally 4 – 8 weeks

Please note this is a general rule once all tax and super forms have been correctly completed by talent.

Q. Do you offer Training Courses ?

A. OnCue do not run any Actor Training Courses as we are a Talent Agency only. However we do forward / pass on any training courses from reputable Training institutes or Casting Directors that are promoted to Oncue.

Q. What else can I do to be considered for Roles?

A. The best advice is to go back through your profiles with the instructions and double check you have completed anything
